MR3 Roof 20x14, Malaysia

A MILOS MR3 roofing system was used for one of the main stages at the first ever Future Music Festival event ever to be held outside Australia – staged at the Sepang International Circuit in Kuala Lumpur just ahead of the Malaysian F1 Grand Prix.

The stage and roof system was supplied by a locally based rental company who bought the new MILOS roof specially for the Future Music Festival event. It was delivered directly - and at short notice - by MILOS China out of Guangzhou.

The event was another massive success for Australia’s premier dance and electronic music festival brand which rocked the house with over 40 top DJs and dance acts from around the world and the Asia region for 12 solid hours!

International headliners included the Chemical Brothers, Tinie Tempah, Pendulum, Chase & Status, The Wombats and legendary DJ/rapper, Grandmaster Flash.

The rental company has used MILOS trussing and other components on for shows and events some time and so they were already aware of the robust and solid nature of the products. 

All the components arrived on time, and the system was ready to use, effectively ‘straight out of the box’.

MILOS’ MR3 system is constructed using MT2 ground support towers with M400 and M520 trussing components, which gives it plenty of strength and sturdiness, and it is also designed for an expedient build time

The towers are cross-braced with steel wire ropes. For additional stability each tower has 2 tonnes of water ballast at its base.

The MR3 roof is specifically designed for large concerts, festivals and events, and will cover an areas of up to 280 square metres giving an impressive headroom of up to 15 metres.
