MILOS Trussing Adds Style to Range Rover Evoque launch in China
A large MILOS ground support / trussing system was used to create the exhibition stand showcasing the launch of the new Range Rover Evoque Special Edition at the 2012 Beijing Motor Show.
The bespoke hand-finished vehicle is designed by Victoria Beckham in collaboration with Land River Design led by Gerry McGovern, and was revealed at the CAFA Art Museum, Chaoyang District, Beijing. It went on sale first in China and only 200 models have been produced.
All technical production for the Range Rove Evoque Special edition stand was supplied by CT Asia Pacific, including – trussing superstructure, lighting, sound, video and projection. CT Asia Pacific was working for production company INCA Productions from London.
A ten legged ground support system was installed, made up of MILOS M520 QuickTruss components (QT 1000, 2000 and 3000) and MILOS MT2 towers, which had a central span of 37 metres when completed.
The towers were 7.5 metres high and were tight to the roof, which enabled CT to rig a substantial amount of equipment above the stand. One end of the stand featured an Evoque Special Edition vehicle on a revolve, and there was a seating and presentation area at the other.
Creating the long central span was one of the main technical challenges of the project for which CT needed to use very strong and robust trussing.
CT Asia Pacific’s MD Simon Tibble specified MILOS products after having used the brand on a number of other occasions, including the Shanghai and Chengdu Motor Shows in 2011.
The smart contemporary aesthetics of the MILOS products was also a perfect complement to the class, quality and luxury of the Evoque Special Edition.
CT Asia pacific has invested in a substantial quantity of MILOS to service its own projects and for rental stock.

The MILOS MT2 tower is the basic unit for all MILOS MR3 Series roofing systems and can support up to 2000 Kgs. Spans can be pre-rigged at ground level and then lifted into position with hoists for ease of use, and is also available with a variety if accessories.
